When Rudy, the owner of Verde, came to me in December of 2017, the company had recently opened two new retail stores. The company had been strictly focused on wholesaling its product for the past 2 years and the website needed to shift the focus of the website to everyday shoppers.
Our focus? Convert visitors into shoppers at the stores.
The agenda was...
- Design a shopper flow that would convert online visitors into customers at the stores.
- Create convertible content that would keep visitors on the website for longer. Longer session durations mean shoppers are investigating. The longer they investigate the more likely they are to convert.
In January of 2018 we relaunched the new Verde website. Within 90 days of launch we decreased bounce rates by 12.5% and increased unique visitors by 38%! Within those 90 days there were 3,876 views of the store pages, ranking as the 2nd and 3rd most visited pages.
