I hate when I feel like I wasted my fucking day. Everything’s planned. On my off day, I’m gonna do this and do that. This will be finished and that will be finished. But nothing happens. The only things I did was sit down, surf the web, spent a couple of hours watching videos on LiveLeak, browse on SlickDeals to look at deals I don’t have money to buy. You get the drift. We all do this. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to waste a day or two, but it feels more rewarding when you take the day by your fist, and you say, “I fucking kicked your ass, today.”
Friday to most people is the end of the week. Work. Work some more. And now you're sitting in the office waiting for 5 o'clock to role around. You're insanely tense. Concentration goes out the window. You're texting friends to start making plans. Shit, it's only been 3 minutes and there is still two more hours to go. The problem with this picture? You're life isn't balanced enough. Here's the secret sauce to making it through every Friday...
Joining the unspoken society of early risers will only work when you put a goal in place. I hear people all the time saying one of two things 1) I'm not a morning person or 2) I wish I could wake up early. Why? They've lead themselves to believe waking up early cannot be done. When you tell yourself you can't do something you set yourself up for failure. Change your mindset, set a goal and envision success.
You sit alone in a dark room. A dim blue tinge of light fills the room. The room is dead silent until you scroll. Scroll some more. Tap like. Leave a comment. Then you open up Snapchat. Open up Facebook. Open up Instagram again. The vicious circle continues until 2am. "Shit," you scream. "I need to be up in 4 hours to get ready for work."
Ever wonder why you're so depressed when Monday morning roles around? The reason we hate Monday's is because we have a flaw in our mindset. Stop to think for a second. You've probably been saying "uh it's Monday" for years. Well from here forward we are going to pretend that saying never entered our minds. First I'm going to show you why you've developed this mindset and then how to erase it completely.
Everyday we are given a choice to wake up or stay in bed. Some of us hit the snooze button. While others push through the sleepiness and get out of bed. The choice is yours. Seems simple, right. Just get out of bed. Then why do so many of us struggle to get out of bed every morning? It's your mindset.
Making small changes everyday will lead to big successes. Eating healthier starts 1 meal at a time. The easiest meal to replace is breakfast. Instead of eating processed cereals or bars start your day with a bowl of oatmeal. Oatmeal is a slow digesting carb which means it will actually give you fuel throughout your morning unlike those magically delicious lucky charms.
Smiles are contagious. Did you ever notice that when you smile at someone in passing they smile back at you 9 times out of 10? Well I certainly have. Recently I've dubbed myself a smile ambassador. Walking around the neighborhood, through the super market, at the gym and even at stop lights in my car I make it a point to look directly at someone and give them the big cheese.
